Greenville Family Partnership Staff
Greenville Family Partnership (GFP) Staff are a group of dedicated, hardworking individuals who live, work, and breathe GFP’s mission practically 24 hours a day of keeping kids off drugs through drug education and partnering with families and the community. Whether they have been with GFP for two decades or two years, they are all dedicated to the hard, but rewarding, work of educating youth and their families. GREENVILLE FAMILY PARTNERSHIP STAFF DIRECTORY 2013!
Stacey Ashmore—Community Outreach Coordinator/Educator
You will always find Stacey serving the community and representing the needs of youth from all our communities and their need for accurate information and good decision making skills. Stacey does his best and is happiest when he has turned out a large audience and is in the middle of them answering questions.
Candy Carlson—Resource Center Assistant/Inventory Control
She is our go-to-person who provides all of us with direction on what we need for programs and where to find it. Whether it is a staff member preparing for a program, a community partner in need of material or the general public in need of Red Ribbon supplies or our story books that teach, Candy graciously and quietly provides and keeps track of the chaos we sometimes produce.
Meryl Hammett Cook—Project Director of Healthy South Carolina Initiative
Meryl works tirelessly with our Community Partners to lead them in an effort to educate and motivate our community to protect their health by preventing exposure to second-hand smoke or by improving their heath through smoking cessation and a healthier lifestyle. In her creative style, she engages all segments of our community and empowers them to understand the health risks of tobacco use.
Virginia Henderson—Resource and Information Coordinator
Virginia has many years of experience in identifying and supplying up-to-date, researched-based information and educational resources for all who need information and direction from our free lending library or online by way of technology. She spends many hours trying to balance the use of both and stays current on our cultural trends.
Lynn Hooper—Parent Education Coordinator/Educator
Lynn has many years of experience providing tools, information, and education for parents who want to do the best job they can in raising healthy, empowered, and motivated children. Every program she facilitates includes planning to reduce the risk and increase protective measures for our kids to stay away from tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs.
Elizabeth Jordan—Youth Program Coordinator/Educator
Elizabeth interned in our youth program before she joined the team as our lead Youth Educator and Intern Coordinator. You will always find her ready to prevent and educate about the problems caused by tobacco use and the need for children to find their voice and be empowered to live healthy lives.
Troy McBride—Youth Prevention Educator
Now on a part-time basis, after many years as our Community Officer Drug Education Coordinator and prior to that a DARE officer, Troy enjoys nothing more than a classroom full of youth asking him questions about the problems of marijuana use or gun safety. Troy is always ready to prepare a program or set up a display and demonstrate the effects of alcohol use, tobacco use or gang involvement. He views all children as eager to learn the truth and the consequences of risky and illegal behavior.
Ryan Perry White—Administrative Assistant/Development Coordinator
She is our latest addition and we are thrilled that she brings her prior experience in this field of prevention along with her administrative talent to our team. Ryan loves to develop new partnerships and her networking abilities will serve us well as we have the need to engage everyone in this mission we serve, keeping kids off of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.
Carol Reeves—Executive Director/CEO
Carol has the privilege of leading this terrific team. She has been in this field of parent education, prevention education, and youth development for many years. She would like to say that the CEO title stands for; “Creating Exciting Opportunities” and making sure the team is “Constantly Educating Others”.
